WHERE ARE THE PUPPIES RAISED?
All La Fundacion Presa Canario puppies are whelped and raised in a specially designed, temperature-controlled whelping building created to support both the physical health of the mother and the early developmental needs of the litter. The space is intentionally kept quiet, clean, and low-stress for nursing females, while still carefully mimicking the sights, sounds, and rhythms of a home environment to encourage healthy habituation and confidence in the puppies as they grow.
Puppies also have access to a dedicated outdoor area reserved exclusively for young litters, ensuring safe exploration without exposure to unfamiliar adult dogs. As development progresses, we introduce closely supervised interactions with stable adult dogs and age-appropriate puppies, supporting balanced social skills, resilience, and sound temperament; an essential part of responsible Presa Canario puppy development.
